Piano Player

As jazz/pop music creates a festive, fun filled ambience for people eating lunch or walking through the Atrium, Lynn Deichert can be found playing the grand piano in the Towers at West End, Monday through Friday from 11:30am-12:30pm.

For Lynn, the best part of his day is always playing at the 1600 Building, meeting, and greeting people with beautiful music. Their smiles and appreciation are heartwarming to him.

Lynn has been playing the piano since he was a little boy. Both of his parents were musicians. Lynn started working with his father in the clubs when he was 14. He went off college, receiving several degrees in music, and back to the Twin Cities to make his way as a full-time professional musician. Lynn also plays the trumpet. He has been the bugler at Canterbury Racetrack for many years. He has been an adjunct professor at Carleton College for over 34 years.

Lynn also owns his own business; Lynn Deichert Music, contracting music for corporate, retail, and private events. He is known for creating musical groups, including brass groups, and chamber orchestras for performances at churches.
