If you’re like us here at Accesso Club you are eager to start digging in the dirt and getting your plants in the ground. Along with planting lots of beautiful flowers, many folks here in Houston are growing their own fruits and vegetables. If you’re seeking some great nurseries you can visit to get your plants and other stuff, here are some we suggest you try.
Buchanan’s Native Plants
A fixture in Houston for 40 years, Buchanan’s Native Plants is sure to have everything you need. Open from 9-6 daily, this nursery located on 11th Street in the Heights has a great selection of fruit and vegetable plants, in addition to many herbs, you can also plant in your garden. Specializing in plants that thrive in our Houston climate, you can also find plenty of flowers, trees, and bushes for your yard. As an added bonus, Buchanan’s offers classes and workshops for beginners as well as experienced gardeners.

Joshua’s Native Plants & Gardens
Also located in the Heights, Joshua’s Native Plants & Gardens can be found on 18th Street, just east of Shepherd Drive. Family-operated, Joshua’s caters especially to beginning gardeners who are just getting started honing their green thumbs. Featuring an extensive collection of plants you would want in your garden, Joshua’s is open Tuesday-Sunday from 9-5.
Plants for All Seasons
Featuring two locations, Plants for All Seasons can be found near TX-249 as well as on Louetta Road. Another nursery that’s family-owned and operated, it’s been in Houston since 1973 and is a full-service garden center. Known for its wide array of fruit trees, vegetables, and herbs, the Plants for All Seasons staff also gets rave reviews for being willing to help customers find what they need. Open each day of the week from 9-5, you can even take advantage of their delivery and planting services.

Warren’s Southern Gardens
Located in Kingwood, Warren’s Southern Gardens is also family-owned. Able to accommodate gardeners of all skill levels, we can say you will always find high-quality plants at this nursery. Once you get your garden and fruit trees planted, you can work with Warren’s landscaping and design professionals to get the rest of your yard looking absolutely gorgeous.
Enchanted Gardens & Forest
With a name like Enchanted Gardens & Forest, you know you are bound to walk away with plenty of great garden plants, fruit trees, and whatever else you want to plant in the ground. Also in Rosenberg, this nursery also has a location near Sugar Land. Arguably the most beautiful nursery in all of Houston, you can shop in surroundings that are scenic, yet also surprisingly uncrowded. Open seven days per week, you’ll quickly become a regular at this nursery.

Caldwell Nursery
If you venture to Rosenberg and find yourself just outside the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds, you will discover Caldwell Nursery and all it has to offer. With over six acres of rare and unusual plants along with plenty that are well-known to everyone, you’ll find just what you need for your garden. Open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 am-5:30 pm, you’ll be glad you took a few extra minutes out of your way to visit Caldwell Nursery.
