Westlakes: Solar Eclipse Event

On April 8, 2024, a solar eclipse was visible over a large swath of North America. Despite the cloudy weather conditions that day, most people were still able to catch at least glimpses of the beginning and end of the eclipse.

One notable observation was that the temperature dropped significantly – between 5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit – during the peak of the eclipse. This dramatic temperature change was likely due to the moon temporarily blocking much of the sun’s warmth and light.

During the eclipse, tenants gathered together and enjoyed soft drinks, snacks, and the chance to witness this natural phenomenon. Despite the cloudy skies, it seems the event was still an amazing sight for those who were able to see it.
